2008 SEMA CORVETTE PROJECT
This year, Quick Time Performance will debut its 2008 Corvette at SEMA with the new Screamer exhaust system.
With the success of its electric cutout, Quick Time took it to the next level — our electric muffler: a two-way muffler with a single inlet with a dual outlet. One outlet is a straight pipe with a valve at the end. When the valve is open you get the loud and free-flowing exhaust system. Close the valve and the exhaust gases are diverted through the muffled section to get the quiet mild-manner sound. This exhaust system can be controlled from the driver’s seat. Go from mild to wild in seconds.

GM ‘DRIFT’ COLORADO
MBRPinc built this “Project Speed” project vehicle with GM Canada. The truck has a fully certified cage, custom-built frame, race suspension, full race interior and more.
The real news here is the motor and transmission — an LS7 with a Procharger unit making 20LBS boost. The transmission is a six-speed manual. We are shooting for the 1,000-hp range in a Colorado. We will be the first to put an LS7 in to the Colorado, so we may as well do it in a big way.
Note that even as a truck with incredible power on tap it also will deliver solid fuel efficiency. This truck will demonstrate what diesel can do in a smaller format.
Some companies and their products involved are GM Parts; GM Canada; MBRPinc; Toyo tires; Cobra seats; PPG paints; Pioneer audio; and Procharger.
The project is being built at Ultimate Driveline in Michigan as a GM Drift project, for GM Canada. Along with drift events we are looking to have this truck do very well in other motorsport events, as well.
We plan to drag race the truck in the 10’s, run at the Texas Mile upward of 180, run the Silverstate Classic and then cruise the Hot Rod Power Tour getting 18-20 MPG. Put this one down as a triple-threat torque with speed and fuel efficiency.

COLD STEEL
HOT Motorsports has built this Chevy S10 into Cold Steel. Sponsored by Hypertherm Plasma Cutters, this truck will appear in SEMA booth #24567 in the performance section, two booths away from GM.

The truck is completely custom hand-built from the ground up. The idea of the truck is to show the world what can be done with the proper tools and a great bit of effort. With no paint anywhere, this truck will be completely bare metal from grille to tailgate — even the custom seats.
Among others, participants in this project include the following companies: Magnuson; GM; Oasis; and Toyo Tires.

‘TACKLE JACK’ 2007 FORD F150 SUPERCREW 4x4
Blending into the outdoor environment has proven to be a strategic survival tool for many walks of life. The ability to adapt to the environment, changing colors, blending with various colored backgrounds and terrains can be the difference between life and death.
The “Tackle Jack” has learned this secret of survival. “Kill or be killed.” Most either have to pursue their prey, or evade other animals that purse them — the predator-prey interaction. Some have developed deterrents in the way of spines or toxic secretions; and many, such as Westin’s “Tackle Jack” have become masters of camouflage, blending perfectly with the surrounding environment waiting for the right moment to seize its prey.
Here are the products we used for Tackle Jack: Ford Motor Co. 2007 F150 Super Crew FX4 4X4; Banks Engineering monster exhaust; B.A.S.F. custom paint; Bushwacker Inc. fender flares; IFW Bedslide’s WeatherDeck bedslide; Katzkin custom leather upholstery; Keystone Restyling Good Hood hood scoop; LINE-X spray-on bed liner; Magellan Crossover GPS; PG Custom Cars shop/builder; Pro-Comp Extreme Alloy Wheels 7089; PTeazers Inc. custom paint; Toyo Tires Open Country M/T; Truck Covers USA’s American Work Cover tonneau; and Wade Automotive bug/wind deflectors.

The truck now rides on a Chevy S-10 chassis with the help of a new body-mount conversion kit, manufactured by AD-Engineering, and is powered by a stock Chevrolet Caprice 5.7L engine and a 4L60E transmission. It features the new Big Bite rotors and calipers from Stainless Steel Brakes Corp., and the newly released Street Pro 390 wheels by Cragar Classic Wheels, supplied by Carlisle Tire & Wheel Co. riding on 17” Pirelli Scorpion STR all-season highway tires.
Old Air Products supplied the custom under-dash combination A/C heat and defrost unit with a high-performance Griffin radiator. Haneline/Dakota Digital sponsored the Three-n-One electric Speedo/Tach gauge clusters.
The Filling Station sponsored all of the vintage Chevrolet/GMC trim components, interior and exterior. Miracle Auto Painting of Stockton reworked the exterior sheet metal.
